Our newest bungalow has taken flight! Built next to Rainbow Bungalow, Eagle's Nest is our next generation of cabin committed to honoring the beauty and tranquility of the Mt. Hood Wilderness, while striving to reduce the impact of its existence. We worked to build our Nest as energy efficient as possible by using high-tech insulation and heating systems, energy efficient windows, and on demand water heaters. We furnished it with no-voc paints, wood floors, and wool carpets to make this cabin more comfortable for you and for the environment. We are continually striving to reduce the impact of our cabins on this beautiful wilderness landscape; Eagle’s Nest is getting us just a little closer to our dream!

Rainbow Bungalow: Cabin "Cozy"

Rainbow Bungalow, our first bungalow, was specifically designed to be a great place for small groups to gather. With 2 queen sized bedrooms and a loft furnished with 3 futons, Rainbow was designed to be both flexible and inviting. A modern kitchen provides great entertainment for those who love to cook and 2 ½ bathrooms provide not only privacy, but convenience! Great community and private spaces are just a few of the things that make Rainbow so appealing. Whether you prefer to snuggle next to the fire with a book, escape to the loft for a movie, or gather at the table to play a competitive game of Scrabble, Rainbow Bungalow is ready to accommodate. Each of the rooms has been intentionally designed to provide a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Built by Big Mountain Company, the bungalow's design and construction honors the surrounding environment as a showcase of sustainable building methods.

Eagle’s Nest Bungalow: Cabin 'Contemporary'

Eagle's Nest Bungalow, the newest edition to the Mt. Hood Lifestyle Bungalow family, is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath retreat designed to provide all the comforts of home, without the stress! Architecturally similar to the Rainbow Bungalow, Eagle's Nest has the same great community and private spaces, but with a slightly more contemporary aesthetic; the colors are a little brighter, the kitchen is a bit more streamlined, and the decor is a tad more trendy. The bathrooms feature vessel sinks and tiles reminiscent of a spa, all the while remaining true to the beauty of the wood surrounding them. The kitchen would please any aspiring chef, with walnut butcher block on the island, concrete on the counters, and a host of tools at your disposal. This kitchen is meant to cook! The living room, with its windows facing the river, invites you to snuggle next to the fire with a good book and a cappuccino from your kitchen! Or, if a game of backgammon is on your mind, head over to the dining room where you will find a host of games stacked neatly on custom designed bookshelves made from local wood. If you are feeling like 'nesting', then we invite you to fly up to the nest! Perched on the 3rd floor, the nest is a cozy respite with a full size futon and state of the art entertainment system designed with the movie fan in mind. Featuring a 32" Toshiba Flat Screen TV, DVD, sound bar, receiver, and IPOD Docking Station (downstairs), Kevin Chesla of Wired for Sounds designed this little gem with the viewer in mind. So whether you are on a romantic weekend getaway, or you are relaxing with your best friends, Eagle's Nest is sure to make your stay a most enjoyable one!
